Hi there, I'm Giulia
I work as a project manager, am a parent, and live abroad as an expat in Milano, Italy.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn’t in the long-range plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more than expected.
The initial months were overwhelming — unfamiliar setups, routines, and expectations. Daily chores seemed more tangled than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning by doing. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit our needs, met other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Mav Loneri Toqyl
Most content online tended to be corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real-life experiences in Italy.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site is NOT:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- An ordinary travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in Italy continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Milano or anywhere in Italy, feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Giulia
